WAY OF WORKING
Depending on the production stage, I tailor my approach to fit what has already been completed. If production has not started yet, I will begin with:
WHAT DO I HAVE TO OFFER?
My specialisation during my studies was Game Design & Technology. Since I focused more on front-end development, my role in Game Design was to create the front end of games. My expertise lies in designing the UX and UI, including menu interfaces, accessibility features, 2D animations, and visuals such as icons and in-game assets.
INTERFACE DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
I create custom interfaces that align closely with the theme and style of each application, enhancing both functionality and immersion. I have experience designing a variety of interface types, including diegetic, non-diegetic, spatial, and meta interfaces, which allows me to tailor the user experience based on the game’s narrative and aesthetic goals.
I work with both Unity UI and Unity Toolkit to build these interfaces, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into the Unity engine for optimized performance and visual appeal.
ACCESSIBILITY
I want everyone to be able to enjoy playing games. Ensuring accessibility is, for me, one of the most important responsibilities of a UX/UI designer in gaming. By designing interfaces that are inclusive and intuitive, I strive to create gaming experiences that are welcoming, allowing as many players as possible to engage fully and comfortably with the game.
INTERFACE ICONS
Interface icons provide a quick, visual reference that guides users through the game or application, making navigation intuitive and efficient. These icons convey essential information at a glance, such as health status, inventory, and controls, reducing the need for text and enhancing overall usability.
ANIMATION
Custom animations enrich the user experience by adding depth, emotion, and excitement to digital content. The animations I create bring dynamic interactivity to characters, environments, and UI elements, making them feel responsive and immersive.
